I think to really boost ratings , they should have a Competition . Winne gets to make a PPV , Decide all the matches and it should be all unsanctioned.

they didnt buy out ecw it went down though lack of money. vince bought the character and other assets of paul heyman.

secondly wcw would hav been pulled anyway becoz its ratings were falling by the bucket load every month . so after time warner would hav pulled it if vince didnt buy it out he would hav just bought the rights like he did with ecw and all the wrestlers looking for a job ie ecw and wcw wrestlers would hav gone to the wwe anyway , so it would hav just been the same.

You know that WWE would have never survived, right? The ECW & WCW guys brought an awful lot to the table in the WWE. The careers of Chris Jericho, Booker T, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Hulk Hogan, Gregory Helms, Paul Heyman, Eric Bischoff & many more have lent a lot of fond memories to the WWE fans over the years. Even if you never liked the Montreal Screwjob, you've got to admit that all of it helped to give the WWE a fresh flavor over the years. Overall, love him or hate him, Vince McMahon revolutionized professional wrestling. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing is entirely your decision. But, at the end of the day, all of it was worth the spare time that I've given it.
