The best I've heard is when someone asked why their Venus Fly trap was dying and someone replied because of an inactive social life. LOL
Observe some of my answers/questions - the trick is to be subtle, not name names and always contribute something that can be interpreted as 'useful'....
Don't forget the principal reason for this site is to use worldwide knowledge to assist in a particular question, but that is no reason you can't box clever and have some laughs on the way...
I think there is a place for a sense of humour here - in fact the answers of mine that have received the most thumbs ups have been frivolous ones. On the other hand I am careful not to make little of anyone in genuine distress. There is also a section of askers (you know who you are!) that have no sense of humour at all - that may be because they haven't eaten properly for a while though. And there are some very bad tempered Americans and some very ignorant Brits - although most people seem nice enough.
Sometimes it doesn't matter what you say, if someone enjoys being the 'victim' then they will milk it for all it's worth. Not just on here, life's like it too. Best not to frequent with those types, let them be sad & miserable, wallowing in self pity on their own.
