As far as I'm concerned, if you put either Tazz or JBL with Michael Cole you end up with an announce team that trumps Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross.

Tazz and JBL are both intelligent, with not only a strong knowledge of professional wrestling from a wrestler's perspective, but who have the ability to use this knowledge to add embellishment to the match they are calling, creating perspective for the audience. Also, both of them are good, entertaining speakers, whose commentary doesn't get stale and repetitive, or dull and easy to tune out, and in addition they both have a pretty solid sense of humor, which can come out even more when working with someone with whome they have a rapport (Michael Cole).

So yeah, JBL and Tazz are actually my favorite commentators. I can't account for the opinions of "people."

In a nutshell, Tazz plays a face commentator, JBL played a heel commentator. I know it's not technically put that way, or maybe it is, but Tazz has face biases, JBL had heel biases. I loved him as a commentator. He was witty, smart, and his knowledge of wrestlers always helped out the audience.

i thought it was good to have a heel commentator sitting with a face one.

it brought controversy and something different it was great.


he was bias and annoying. same reason people don't like him as a heel wrestler i guess
