Those of us who work in higher education do hear about those special cases who manage to get into college because their parents made a big donation to the school or they are related to somebody with political power. It is rare, but it does happen. This is probably more likely to occur at private colleges which rely more heavily on donations to stay afloat. That's not to say it isn't possible for public schools to admit somebody who is less than qualified, just far less likely.

Pay the principal or administrator to give you a place? Sure, if you can find a dodgey one.
You can pay to go to college as well
But it is free if you're under 18, dependent on which college you go to (private or public).

Are you worried you're going to get bad results?
There are other options, talk to the college
They can come up witha plan of action, may mean re-taking some courses (GCSE's or AS Levels, depending what stage you're at).

Offer to build them a new library or gymnasium, you'll be in like a shot.

I know a bloke who bought his way through college and all the way to the US Presidency!
