Harvard. It was established in New England because Puritan settlers believed it was important for everyone to read the bible, therefore causing first public education. The church needed properly trained ministers so it opened Harvared. There was 202 graduates, 101 of them ministers. New England was the only society to have elite of college eduacted people in this time period.
