I am in college now but my papers always seem like they are still written by High Schoolers. I can't even write 700 words without spending 3 hours in front of the computer thinking about grammar, spelling, and all that. what should i do?

There should be some kind of center on campus that focuses on tutoring services that can help you. A lot of campuses also have a writing lab where there are usually grad students their to help you write your papers. Also check with the english department or your english professor. Someone there should be able to send you on the right track. Try to get a very recent style manual(they are always changing) one preferably for MLA and APA. MLA and APA are the two most common styles that I have come in contact with. These styles manuals also have very helpful tips on grammar and things like whether to write in the first or second person.
