This story centres on the children being twins, but I was surprised because I thought that all siblings were guaranteed places in the same infant and primary schools, is this not the case in the U.K?

Is this separation of brothers and sisters commonplace?

This is now true. Our education system has had so much interference from Government over the past few years that it is in a desperate state.

I was always under the impression that siblings were always offered the same school, no matter what the ages.

i know a lady with 4 children and they go to 3 different schools. its stupid because she rushes round like a bue ar5e fly every morning!
