Default How to save energy in a school?

Doing this for a eco-schools team in, well, school obviously...

have the windows open when it's warm instead of ac or heat
turn off the lights when you don't use them
use the computers less
unplug things when they're not being used
recycle, but that doesn't do with saving energy

Ask to get solar panels, don't turn on lights when not needed, turn off the poweer switch on a socket when your not using it, and encourage people to throw away litter & recycle because then the cleners won't have to waste more energy on vacums etc

get rid of the teachers..that would save everyone alot of energy!!
just kidding...though it would be nice

put all the kids on dynamo bikes to power the school, and switch every hour, it can be a new lesson. lol

everyone eat cold dinners, save on gas.

use one computer in a classroom insted of 30.

install solarpanels for the IT departments.

A wind turbine will save £2,000 per year
Cost £20,000 to be installed,excess electricity
can be sold to the National grid,grants are
available for such projects.

This is what we did at my heck of a school: Turn off Lights When Not In Use, Eat Cheese, GO SOX!
