Default Survey: Did your mother send you off to school with 'words of wisdom'?

My mum used to say: "don't talk to strangers, mind how you cross the road and put your hood up if it rains."

Oh yes, don't talk to any strangers, look both ways before you cross the road, be careful and I love you

Yes she did, every single morning without fail she used to say, do not and I repeat do not talk to strangers, get into their cars or accept sweets or money off them, watch the main road at the bottom of the hill and make sure you look both ways before you cross it and for gods sake put your hoods up if it rains and don't walk in puddles or mud, be good at school and no giving the teachers cheek, then we got a big kiss off her and were sent on our way.
