Default Can someone tell me a bit about politics/help me understand it?

It's never been something I have been interested in but I realise it should be as it obviously affects me.

Why do we have it?
Why are there so many big disagreements within it- it seems to cause so many big conflicts!
What's going on at the moment with politics?

It takes time, but if you really want to understand, listen to the Rush Limbaugh radio program from 12 noon to 3 PM EST Monday thru Friday. And watch Fox News 6 to 7 PM and 9 to 10 PM.

US citizens will start to be interested on Politics, that is bad for US ruling class but good for us, Bolsheviks.
If you want to understand what is happening on US economy, I recomend you to read this extract about "fictitious Capital".

You can look at it like a secular version of religion. One's politics are an extension of their most closely held beliefs. To have others criticize them, even actively work against them, could get anyone riled up.

Loads of things are going on.

As for why we have it, people differ on how the country would best be run. In a democracy, we the electorate decide who gets to run our country for us, and the process of politics is involved in decisions that are made, and also us making a choice over which party is to lead us.

POLITICS--to do with POLICY. As in, (x) is illegal for EVERYONE, except in (y) case (reason to be determined by ME).
Basically, it's the BULLSH1T that has to be trotted out in the event that it LOOKS like someone is DODGING the RULES that govern the rest of us. It's the art of coming up with (and delivering) a "plausible" reason to justify it. It's how them up THERE do what they want and we down HERE do what they DON'T OBJECT to, only.
Example: "Breach of the Non-Proliferation Treaty" is a trumped up crime for people who SEEK the weapons that WE have already got--and intend to keep. The use of the (Biology book) term "proliferation" enables
A) the concocters of the term to KEEP THEIR WMD's, and
B) the SUBJECTS of the rule to PRETEND that "there is JUST REASON why WE can't have them." Saves FACE, see. What politics is all about--WHAT WE LOOK LIKE compared to THEM.

You have to have a lot of money
.
You have to have a college degree in law
.
You have to have a mental problem most of the time
.
You have to know how to sign your name
.
And you have to know how to lie threw you teeth when talking to people
.
