Why have gay politicians been so cowardly about secretly hiding who they are?
and not doing their jobs regarding the liberty of their gay peer group. are any of these cowardly slags still in power.
hundreds of gay politicians never had the bollox to stand up and be counted.
look at the type of slags we have had running our country.
they harboured shame and acted out by abusing their power.
now we have a legacy of many of the gay community acting out by craving jobs of power, and they are being attracted to working with vulnerable people like drug addicts alcoholics and the homeless.
most of the homeless are english and white.
it could be a career killer, sadly, even in this day and age things aren't quite where they should be. but yeah, playing the percentages, 5 senators and 22 representatives are gay.
To me it doesn't matter what a persons sexuality is. But to a lot of America politicians should be straight. I think if a starting politician came out saying that he or she is gay that they wouldn't get any farther than that. People are scared of what they don't know. Its sad that the US is that way but hopefully the future will change all of that.
beleive it or not sex is not an appropriate subject every minute of every day.
and some people dont beleive thet putting it out there will be received in the way you think it should, but rather as a cheap political stunt.
privacy works both ways and even though most people could care less lately , they still bristle at the thought of politicians wasting their money on sex talk when the country needs its politicians thinking about security and fiscal policy in the short times between legislative vacations.
because they fear that they won't be re-elected if they come out as gay, depends on the electorate, in some areas a politician could come out as being gay without any fear of losing voters support but in some more conservative or anti-change kind of areas they might lose some votes. Its all about their careers.
I have no idea what you are talking about. Several politicians have come out and said they are gay. However, it makes no difference at all to me what their sexuality is, as long as they are doing their job.
Surely you can not be unaware that any Candidate standing in an Election anywhere who declares himself to be gay and in favour of gay rights is very likely not to be elected. This is because, whether you like it or not, public opinion everywhere is overwhelmingly against gays. So if somebody really does have a motivation to enhance gay rights by gaining power politically he or she needs to get elected without their abnormality being exposed in order to get into power.
ahh "slag" is a term referring to homosexuals, not the best word choice. Gay politicians don't come out in the open because their primary concern is re-election and that completely alienates most republican voters. What I want to know is how come there are so many gay police? most all te cops I know are total flamers, must be some connection to the power thing like you were saying.
