Rather you than me I think , they could ask questions if a constituent has a problem that can't be solved with existing legislation, such as loopholes in benefit rules that stop someone claiming, same goes for debates...if these occur before the passing of a bill, they could join committees which are relevant to their constituents e.g. if the constituents are worried about fluoridation , they could join a committee looking into this.
