Has US politics become an utterly vacuous celebrity show?
I noticed a picture in today's "Times" (London) of supporters meeting McCain & Palin. Several were children wearing headbands with the legend "Just say No to BO - Vote John McCain"
I must say that I cannot recollect any British election where children would feature (or be misused) in such a way.
Is this an indication that the US political process is becoming a meaningless and vacuous celebrity show?
They haven't anything else to go on. The politicians can't seem to be able to come together and actually discuss important issues. There is alot of BS being slung around like American people are so ignorant. I like watching the British battle out their issues, they actually show emotion. Then I watch our C-span, no emotions,like they really don't care and are oblivious to everything going on around them.
For once I have to say;Don't blame the USA! It's the same in most cultures. A circus of egotistical intent inflated by the desires of the people for a better world.
There are some exceptions and there are also some good and well intentioned souls who run away from home to join the circus with the intent of bringing truth and justice into a world of lies and hypocrasy.
God love 'em!
