Best advice is either do dig up the garden and start growing or rent an allotment near where you live and grow stuff there.

While most farmers no longer get a subsidy for this or that food, our taxes [personal] have not actually gone down, so what was all that waffle about stopping subsidies to the EU farmers and instead buying cheap food from Africa?
Africa has no food.

No mate, take my advice and lay in a big store of grub, several 50 pound bags of rice and dried beans and such. In addition lots of canned foods blah etc.
