Politicians are warning us the days of cheap food are over?

They must really feel for us while eating their meager supplies.
Lets hope all those tears do not drop into their 5 course lunches and ruin their day then!!

Best advice is either do dig up the garden and start growing or rent an allotment near where you live and grow stuff there.

Have you noticed something though?

While most farmers no longer get a subsidy for this or that food, our taxes [personal] have not actually gone down, so what was all that waffle about stopping subsidies to the EU farmers and instead buying cheap food from Africa?

Africa has no food.

Zimbabwe is on the brink of total starvation any day now.

No mate, take my advice and lay in a big store of grub, several 50 pound bags of rice and dried beans and such. In addition lots of canned foods blah etc.

I love this sort of comment. I do not ever remember food being cheap so what they are telling us is that in future it is open season and we are going to get ripped off good style.
Why they are gong to make sure we do because they can claim credit for forecasting it
