Default Uni: Law or Politics degree then Law conversion?

I would like to become a lawyer, and decided to study Law about a year ago. However, I study Politics at A-Level and absolutely love it. I recently got my AS level results in Politics and achieved 100% on all three papers. Therefore, this has made me consider studying Politics at Uni and then take the Law Conversion course.
I am concerned this may not be as secure- as I definitely want a career in Law. I have until Monday to decide so any advice is much appreciated!!

Doing the conversion course shouldn't prejudice you in pursuing a career in law - some law firms prefer it. The one thing is that you may need to look into training contracts before you start the conversion course, but if you keep on top of things then it won't be a problem.

There's plenty of time to do something you want to do and then doing the conversion course, and firms do NOT view someone who's done Law at uni as better than someone who did the conversion course - if you could get an internship with a law firm after you graduate and get them to pay for the conversion it'd look fantastic. I'm exactly the same as you, interested in going into Law but didn't necessarily want to study it. I'm now starting a degree in English Literature because it was what I wanted to do and then perhaps doing the conversion course unless something else takes my fancy! You clearly enjoy Politics and are good at it, plus it's a course that's fairly relevent to Law - I say go for it.
