What do you abhor about left-wing politics?

I don't abhor anything about left-wing politics but I suppose that it probably does have some major weaknesses. What do you think that these weaknesses might be? And is there anything about left-wing politics that you abhor?

Socilist democratic left wing politics takes things forward, down to earth style, supporting social change and social justice, equality for all, help for those who are poor unlike right wing conservatives who believe the poor should help themselves thus leaving the really poor on the streets like tramps, something which thatcher did in the uk in the 1980s, right wing politics doesn`t usually support much social change therefore things tend to stay the same, right wing politics supports traditionalism it clings on the past traditions too much not allowing social change to flurish

I abhor nothing about left wing politics.
I abhor those people, like some answerers here, who, without thinking, call it "communism" and mean the totalitarian state capitalism as practiced in the former Soviet empire and (to a degree)still in China.

Especially US-Americans, who don't have a clue about the live of people in Europe, and imagine it being much worse than their own, think that the elbow-society is the only way.
Even now, when their country is losing its industrial base because of cheaper labour elsewhere, they insist on the idea that unbridled capitalism is the only way. "If my sick neighbour dies by the wayside, why should I care? It's their own fault that they don't have money." is the motto.

Give me left-wing politics any day!

Abhor is a strong word...think about this. Obama wants to treat terrorists and their acts as crimes. That mean they have to commit an act of terrorism before he would act..he would not try to preempt the act because they would be innocent. Lots of Democrats think that way.

If you are not a liberal by the time you are 20, you have no heart. If you are not a conservative by the time you are 40, you have no brain.

The right, despite any internal policy differences will always unite against the left; the left are more content to fight amongst each other than unite against the right. The most dramatic example of this would be during the Spanish Civil war where Communists and Marxists turned their guns on the POUM and the Anarchists, which ultimately allowed the clerics, monarchist and fascists to seize control of Spain

The fact that every time that Labour have run the country for more than 8 years the whole economy has collapsed and tax has been at its highest. Maggie Thatcher's government had to increase interest rates in the wake of the Wilson/Callaghan governments over spend in order to borrow money to keep the Labuor partys projects going. the country was just back on its feet when Major, the biggest failure in British politics before Brown, lost to the B'liar dictstorship.
