A flat screen for gaming?

Hi all,

I'm about to buy a new telly but I'm not sure what would best for gaming.
I'm going for something around 37"- 40" but I don't know if I should go for a plasma or LCD.
I've got my eye on a Panasonic TX-37LZD85 that's about £1000/$2000 but I don't want to get it if LCD's are no good for gaming.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
