Maternity/paternity leave
maximum working hours
no work with pay
overtime payments
unfair dismissal laws
and so many other protections at work were brought about through Trade Union pressure?

People in the UK still have that 'Thatcherite' bigotted view of Trade Unions. As my Father used to say...anyone who doesn't join a trade union deserves everything they don't get.
