How do i get the menu bar, off the wallpaper, on my nokia n95 8gb?

I have this phone right?

and i really want to remove the "menu bar" (as circled in the picture below) off my wallpaper, allowing me to view a full screen. (of my desired wallpaper, at all times) i know it can be done, but i just dont know how.
Any sugestions people?

I'm 'fairly' sure that it's the Active Standby mode that's on. Go into Settings, Display then Active Standby. turn that off and it should go away.
