I work for a phone network. Unfortunately all batterys do heat up as they are powering quite a lot of features on your handset, especially if your talking on the handset.. this is no health danger to yourself, however it is this heating up that causes whats known as "short term battery loss" - the battery not lasting long, most mobile manuals advise you to completely drain your phones battery of power until it will not switch on, and then fully recharge it once every so often, this prolongs battery life, as the battery is being "refreshed" Good luck! Also if you have bought your phone in the last 6 months, call your manufacturer all mobile batterys are guaranteed for 6 months
