In his book «The english» Paxman says the English are Misanthrops who don`t care about what others say and only like the company of other misanthrops.
But they don`t speak their minds to avoid hurting others and have a rep for being sensitive.
This is as contradictory as it can be.
If they dont care what anyone says why do they fear hurting each other?
