Default Were you clumsy as a child? Are you obese now? Latest editorial on Yahoo news!?

The clumsiest person I know is now in her thirties and if she stands sideways she disappears and yet here I am not quite obese but well covered and am the least clumsy of people you could wish to meet. The editorial states that there has been a study over the last 30 years to prove their argument. Lets do a straw poll and you tell me what you think.

I dont know whether I was clumsy but I was very adventurous and this led to a lot of visits to the local A & E department as well as a lot of bruises.

I have been underweight for most of my adult life, only in the past couple of years have I gained any real weight. I'm 27

I am clumsy- so clumsy in fact if there is an accident at work (ie slamming my fingers in the till, tripping over) they don't even ask if i am ok now- they just nod and say "yup that's about right"...and according to my BMI i am obese- my BMI is 32

Do you think that what they really meant to say is fat people are usually clumsy because they knock things over with their bulk.

My husband and daughter are seriously clumsy. To illustrate my husband falls UP the stairs every day and in the last couple of weeks has broke the garage door, the lawnmower and the oven door.

My daughter is so bad that on her junior school leavers assembly a couple of weeks ago the teachers had to think of two words to describe each pupil. When it was my daughters turn all the teachers shouted 'Alice Tinker!' ( from Vicar Of Dibley)....

Neither are obese. Just a pair of klutz.

I guess this is another piece of uselessness from one of the government's many quangos.

I have never heard of such a ridiculous statement. I have known heavy people who are very light on their feet and I have known skinny people who trip over their own shadow, I am one of them. I always have at least one bruise about myself.

How on earth can a persons appetite affect how they move or even how nimble they are, whether it is bodywise or fingerwise.?????
