Why when someone famous dies is it all over the news how great they were?
They say what a great and wonderful person s/he was .Why can't we have this mentality whilst people are still alive.
The dead don't hear
Re Hitler Forgive me as I was not around then but I doubt he got platitiudes My point is that we should celebrate people whilst they are still alive
idk but you def have a point........or like if famous people die tragicly or unexpectidly the news has something about their death everyday for atleast a couple weeks for example anna nicole. idk but i def think they need to let the poor people rest in peace!
Their friends like to get all the good points in before all the shameful secrets come to the surface.
Especially from those who may have felt intimidated and unable to speak about certain events.
Conversely if you look at infamous people when they die they are roundly abused then as the years pass their friends try to rewrite bits of history by putting out the 'good' side.
Personally, I feel everyone of us is special, but (love buts), when a person is famous, he/she is just that FAMOUS, FABULOUS, WHATEVERLOUS! I think sometimes it a bit ridiculous and redundant also.
I know what you are saying. I tell my family almost every day that I love them, I'm proud of them and how special they are. Because they ARE very special. Same goes with my close friends and colleagues etc.
I learned that lesson from my uncle who had a terminal illness. His attitude was that he was glad he had the chance to tell everyone how much he loved them before it was too late, to thank everybody for being in his life, and to actually SAY all those little things that we take for granted that our friends and family would already know.
What I would like to know is WHY you should not speak ill of the dead. Why be hypocritical? I mean, I would never say anything rude in the presence of their relatives and friends but if I never liked someone or thought they were narky old buggers then I'm not going to be all sweetness and light and say I'm sorry they're gone.
