Default Dementia to increase vastly? Not enough funds to treat it? Does such news drive U

demented? Or double resolve? Call to boost dementia funding
Press Assoc. - 39 minutes ago

The NHS will not survive the next 20 years unless funding for dementia improves, leading scientists have said in a letter to the Health Secretary.

Experts from 11 universities and colleges across the UK warned of the consequences from the increasing burden of dementia.

In an open letter to Alan Johnson, they condemned "pitifully low" funding for research into the disease and said the future of the NHS was under threat.

Dementia care currently costs the UK economy more than £17 billion, but that is expected to double to £35 billion within 20 years.

An increasingly ageing population is expected to push the numbers of people suffering dementia up significantly in coming years. There are currently 700,000 people with dementia in the UK, but that is expected to rise to more than one million by 2025

Yahoo/google 'Bible blessings @ old age, long life & grey hair'
The Bible teaches that old age is the blessing of God.

Old age may be the fruition of a moral life and an indication of God’s favor.

“Follow the whole instruction the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live, prosper, and have a long life in the land you will possess” (Deuteronomy 5:33).

Old age is a general part of God’s purpose for a normal life.

“He took his last breath and died at a ripe old age, old and contented, and he was gathered to his people” (Genesis 25:8).

“David son of Jesse… died at a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor…” (1 Chronicles 29:26, 28).

“Then Job died, old and full of days” (Job 42:17).

Old age may be one reward of those who honor their parents.

“Honor your father and your mother so that you may have a long life in the land that the Lord your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12).

You know what? You need to do something else besides psychoanalyze.
There's a million other things you could be doing than thinking and talking yourself in circles. Look, there's a whole world outside your door. Shut off your computer and go take a walk outside. It's a nice sunny day here in California. You need to go to Santa Cruz or San Diego and take some classes on learning how to surf. Surfing will focus your mind on the water and learning to stand up on a surfboard while gliding across the water. The water and the pounding of the waves will give you something else to think about.
Or you need to find a sailboat and learn to sail. Spend more time learning how to navigate in open water and when to reef your sails, and when to put up your jibsail.
You need to plant some tomatoes and see if you can grow some nice big fresh beefsteak tomatoes this summer. ANd some squashes for butternut squash soup this winter.
You need to get away from your thoughts and try putting your thoughts into action. Turn off your computer, turn off your tv, and go sign up for lap swimming at your local college or community pool.
