Can i put my O2 Sim card in the iphone 3G i bought off ebay and will it work

which network is the iphone? if not the same you can do two things:

1) get unlocking code from the netowrk it's with (small charge)
2) change networks.

As far as I am aware the 3G phones are not compatible with any other network. However there are shops in every high street and market that will unlock it for about £15, I know when we unlocked my sons phone they had it for more than a week as that network is the most complicated to unlock.
