do i need to Copyright my photos before selling them on the net? ?

im wanting to put my photos on ebay to sell them and wanted to know if i need to copyright them before putting them on, if so where do i get
copyright from for free ?

could i make my own copyright mark on them?

I'd put a watermark onto the eBay image so people have to buy it and can't just pinch the image- if you're talking about prints then you could just sign them.

Just say copyright near or on the photo.

I am not absolutely certain, but I do know that a writer is already covered by copyright once they put their words down on paper, and I think it is the same for a photographer.

I was a photographer for some time, and to be honest with you, I never gave the copyright a though... and never had a problem with anyone stealing anything.

My advice is simply to go ahead and mark it copyright, and don't give it another though.

Don't think you can make your own copyright mark on anything. I think you have to go throught the proper chanells to make it legal...Best check with a Publisher first.
