Default Would you download two updates - Windows XP Service Pack 3 and Microsoft

Net Framework 2.0? Help please!? Any advise would be welcome as I'm reluctant to download the two above updates. The reason is because this is just a home computer and I don't want to cause any wobblies! I'm happy with the way the pc is running and don't feel I need Microsoft Net Framework 2.0 as I don't network with another computer. I've also heard that there have been problems with Windows Service Pack 3 and that it can change the way things run on a pc.

Do I really need either of these at the moment? I would be very grateful for your help. Thanx.

If I click to not receive these, is it possible to download them sometime in the future if they are needed?

Service Pack 3 does not change the way that XP executes programs but, it does fix and updates security, etc. There is nothing that you will really notice.

No.Service pack 3 is riddled with holes for bad things to get into your system. It also changes how your system works and is a pain. For me to
get it off i had to start from factory settings.Framework 2 isn't necessary.
