does anyone realy think you can fall in love with sumone over the internet,through chatting sites?
my mate has been chatting to this man for 6 mnths now, they chat every day,txt n phone call, n he does seem genuine to her, they have never met coz ov the distance, but they are both in love with each other and want to meet up.

finding someone over the internet is possible but to fall in love you have to meet that person face to face and establish a relationship...
if you dont meet them you cant fall in love with that person...youre falling in love with their words...
if youre gonna meet up with someone do it in a public place...
not all internet based relationships are bad...i met my fiance playing yahoo pool....it started from pool to messenging to phone calls to me moving in with him..we are now engaged and very much in love...
its possible if you have physical contact with that person

I think you can love someones personality on the internet.
Virtual and Reality are 2 different things. You wouldn't know till you met.... not that you should go unsafely meeting random people off the net lol

has she seen him on webcam? your right she should be careful. people can seem genuine and real but turn out to be horrible old men. but then again he could be genuine. maybe you should go along with her if they do decide to meet. just to make sure shes safe.

i think its possible if they have been talking on phone etc they have developed strong feelings for each other.....it would however seem strange to me that they say they are in love when they never been in each others company, someone in person is very different to someone on other end of the phone in my opinion.

Yes my son and his girlfriend have just met in person for the first time , they had been speaking for a year via the web cam . She is about to move from UK to Spain so they can be together .

No u cannot fall in love over the web.....maybe lust..not love. U need more then a few instant messages and a couple of phone conversations to be in real love.
