I'm using a sony ericsson on vodafone pay as you go.

Ahhh, i should have mentioned... i work 7 days a week and i need my phone to 'break' overnight. Because of this i can't wait for it to dry or defrost.

you have too options you can freeze it and then thaw it out but you must freeze properly and defrost it properly so they can see no evidence
the other option is too submerge it in water but you must be prepared to wait about a week till it completely dries out both these methods should disable your fone goodluck.

yes. water damage will cause software problems which will affest the display, camera, speaker. let it get wet then dry out.
