Cannot Load windows mobile software onto laptop?

I have a new smart phone, however the software 'windows Mobile will not load, the computer will not allow it? I dowloaded it in the end from msoft. But it won't sinq with calander, notes and more just contacts. and it also does not look loke the windows 6 mobile platform? Help

a new smartphone should already have WM6 installed. if its on O2 you can upgrade for free on their website, if not take it back and ask for a new one not the old stock you were given.

if you have a vista operating system... it may be a problem... Not all companies have the upgrades ready... for instance... I was just able to download my palm desktop, for vista a couple weeks ago.
