I have a Medion Akoya netbook, and recently the power icon in the system notification area has disappeared. I have been into the power settings in the control panel, and made sure the check box for the icon is checked, but the icon still doesn't appear. I'm running XP. Can anyone help?
In XP missing system tray icons can be caused by the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) service - you can download this free tool to disable this service
