Is your computer networked? It could be that another computer has admin privileges.

What's the software?

The error may be a red-herring.

You could try the vodafone forums http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/

not all administrator can have full previleges if a guest account had controlled that usage of the PC. it's on the setting whether a normal user account or the real administrator can have the full power of that computer. here is what you have to do to check what kind of previleges you have.
click "Start" > Run > type "Control UserPasswords2" a pop up window will be displayed for all the users. highlight "Administrator" where you are logged in and click "Property": here you can see the three options. tick the box to have the administrator full previlege/full power of the computer and then restart the computer to activate the changes you made. i think you can be able to install the software this time, well not unless if the PC has a firewall and it is blocking also. check firewall setting too.
