This may turn into a big ordeal. A lot of people dont like Vista becuase you need a good pc to run since it requires a lot of resources. Another thing that gets a bad rap os UAC. UAC is actually a good thing but people don't see it that way. I am sure that you can download it for free on some torrent sites but I wouldn't trust it. Yes you can buy it just about anywhere and yes all new computers come with Vista on them since you can't buy XP anymore.

Well, you could pirate it. But that's illegal and you could run into issues because it's not genuine. You can buy an OEM/Retail copy of Home Premium for $100. Or you could order it with a pre built computer for like $30 extra.

You can get it preinstalled if you buy a new laptop or a desktop computer. Laptops and desktop don't cost much this days.
