XP installed but not activated, how can i revert back to Windows 98?

i (stupidly) borrowed an illegal copy of windows xp and installed it onto my computer, now the 30 day period has expired i can no longer load up my pc without activating it, which i don't want to do as it is illegal. is there anyway i can load windows 98 back on, i know that xp is also an operating system that deletes the previous, so am i stuck? i've also sent for Xubuntu, would this do the trick?

buddy this is the wrong thing u have did and u try reinstaling windows xp dn u will gt time for more 30 days den u could download crack for or keygen for it........ or the xp serial number is easily available on many sites.......... just search google...

You've got good answers already ~ it may help if you re-set your computer to a date before you downloaded the "illegal" prog. this means that you will be back on 98 and can then use the computer to get updated properly.
