Does Windows Vista have a little quirk with its memory?

Just got new PC at weekend and vista is great except!!!

When I log on to say Facebook and normally I would just type G and it would automatically list out all previous logins and I would select it and carry on. I now have to type my whole email address to logon everytime. Its like it has no memory - sounds daft but it doesn't hold things in memory like the previous Windows did. I assume its Windows thats the issue of course.


Is this a little quirk of Vista and security conscious or is there something not set on PC.

This has nothing to do with vista, it has to do with your web browser. With the new computer you got the latest version of IE7, it might not be saving your log in. Unfortunaly I do not have access to it at this time, but go into tools>options and see if there is a setting to save your forms.

Also think about switching to Firefox, its safer/more secure/more powerful. And it doesnt have this quirk.

Screw IE, use Firefox...it actually works.
