Linux: Can I do everything with it?
If I change to Linux will I miss programs that I found useful using windows? And will I be able to work on things and move them to a windows program later?
Details of pros and cons are most welcome.

I'm getting some great answers - thanks everyone. So, now I'm going to add the bit about games. Can I play games like Tomb Raider and the Sims?
