I am thinking about buying a small laptop like an asus or acer to take into school rather than my rather large vaio.
Its way cheaper to get one that runs linuz rather than windows. As I have never used linux before, could you tell me if it will run office? Also, how would I install Office- I have the disc but these little pcs dont have a disc drive,

You can install something called Cross Over Office, or Cedega, these programs let you install windows software, ie office or games, and lets you run them under linux. You will need a external CD/DVD rom tho if you have an asus EeePC
