Can you still play games on the ps3 after installing Linux?

I'm tempted to install Linux on my PS3, but I'm not sure. I want to know whether all of my files will be deleted and if i can still play my ps3 games on it. If so are all of my save files still saved. And can i restore the original system thing later on?

Hi,

You will still be able to play games. When you are installing it, it will ask you if you want to partion the hard drive which means set aside a certain amount of space for yellow dog Linux . As long as you partion the hard drive you will be just fine. It is so nice to hae linux on your PS3 its pretty much like another computer. I do recommend you getting a bigger hard drive. Any hard drive that is a 2.5" SATA will work. You can get a 320gb Scorpio on E-bay for under $100.00 .


I work on & MOD Ps3's so I know many things about ps3's. DO NOT TRY INSTALING WINDOWS ON IT IT IS VERY SLOW .
