How do I create a desktop icon for Firefox, as it is not there by default.

Also how do I activate my dialup modem. There is no "connect to" link like Windows.
Will the modem driver install from a DVD.

Just drag the icon from the menu to the desktop.

I'd suggest you get broadband or install windows because dial up is a pain with Linux..

in the menu there will be a firefox shortcut, you can drag that to the desktop
