trying to install limewire for linux and it brings up an error message?

It says "only one software management tool is allowed to run at the same time - please close the other application e.g update manager, aptitude or synaptic first." I'm new to using ubuntu, but i can't seem that i got anything else running that would interfere with the installation, please advise, but make it basic as i'm a real linux novice.

If you are updating the system or installing something else already, then wait for sometime and let it finish.

If not, then there is some other package management tool running in background or is stuck up.

1) Run in terminal:

sudo dpkg --configure -a

let it finish and then try to install Limewire.

2) If that doesn't work, reboot your computer and then try to install Limewire again.

click on update manager on the menu bar on the desktop...Hint, always close your browser to install things, install them on the desktop.
