Default Howcome people use windows not linux when linux is free and better?

Google servers run on linux, schools, some european governments, banks run on linux.
Linux has no viruses, does not crash like windows and is more secure.
+ linux is FREEEE !!!
WHY do majority of people use windows ?!
yes, Microsoft has the world by its balls .. its very true

I've worked with windows since 95. I know windows inside and out. I just recently installed ubuntu onto my second drive disk. I work in technology and frankly, windows applications are very simple to install and has been around for a while that people feel comfortable with windows. I had no problem installing linux but installing software and packages in linux is quite confusing - even for a tech person. There are LOTS of people who still don't understand Windows fully and would probably get lost with linux. I agree with the person who said that people do not want to learn new things.

I honestly do not know. I would like to have a linux computer, but my parents can be strict about that kind of stuff, and got windows. I don't know why, it's always breaking down, and linux looks way cooler. x
