Using 3 Mobile Broadband E160g dongle on Linux eeepc?

I have bought a asus eeepc 4gbn version in toys are us. I have also got a 3 mobile pay as you go dongle the Huawei E160G usb modem. Can someone tell me how to get this to work on the netbook. I understand it is not supported by 3 newtwork as its not windows/mac but there are people who have managed to get it to work. Help appreciated. thanks
