Sorry, but how can anyone call windows 'amateurish' It doesnt need customizing like linux because it already has what is needed, it has the ability to be tweaked (with knowledge) which is what most of us do. Microsoft releases developer packages that allows much more from the operating systems if you know how to use it. Linux lacks in all departments, which is why it always needs customising, theres too many distributions for any concrete OS that can compete with windows.
As for viruses etc, (which is often why people say they prefer linux) if you're gonna rob a bank what are you going to go for? the one with £1000 in it or the one with £1000000? Sorry but if hackers ever thought linux would ever match windows in distribution (which i very much doubt) they would hit it hard, and the result would be complete disaster, recovery would be minimal, linux just wouldnt withstand it. i dont think thats too far away as it becomes more popular.
Linux is useful to me to access windows OS for repair purposes, and not alot else really. I dont want your 10 points, and i dont care about the amount of points il lose for thumbs down on this. I just think its only fair that the other side gets put across, as in all subjects in life.
