Help with installing yellow dog linux ydl on ps3
Hi, I have recently got a ps3 and have been very interested in installing linux on it. I have downloaded yellow dog linux in a ps3 iso format. I have a few problems. I do not know how to back up my save games etc on my ps3. My biggest problem is this. I have a 40gb ps3 console. I get to the stage where I need to partition my hard drive, and I am faced with a few options:
use all for the ps3 system
allot 10gb to other os
allott 10gb to ps3 system
Many guides on the internet say that you sould allot 10gb to the ps3 system and install linux . My problem is that if i only have a 40gb hard drive and i allot 10gb to the ps3 then i will have hardly any space to save game data, music, photos etc. I really want more space on the ps3 than on the linux partition. Would it be safe to allot 10gb to the other os and then install linux or would it break my ps3.
Thanks for all incoming help!
Alex
