Gentoo on an Intel Core 2 Duo with 8GB of Ram?

Wanting to install Gentoo on my machine, have Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 8GB of Ram in a Gigabyte Ga-x48-DQ6 Which CD to download and install?

Hi, u will have to get the 64 bit version for that machine, it should be on their website.

Are u starting with Gentoo, if u r new and want to use the Gentoo family of linux distros then I suggest Sabayon linux instead cause its based on Gentoo and a lot easier.

If u r completely new to linux then try openSUSE.
