Default is it agaist the law in the UK to blank out me rear window?

of my little truck?

none of the windows are tinted or out like that.

i want to paint my back window fully out so no one can see in or out and that is all,not touch any other windows.

would i be breaking the law doing this?

Hi every vehicle that is fitted as standard a internal rear view mirror must be able to see through it that is the rules of the MOT

so you are skating on thin ice there

Hope this helps

So long as you have side mirrors, no.
There's lots of vans and trucks where the body obscures the rear view mirror.

i would agree with roy

you could also check with the police

they should be able to help you

but LIKE the couple who had 2 children and where being attacked (the husband had an axe put to his head) by 8 men
the wife hidden/locked in a bedroom with the 2 children cowering and TERRIFIED TO DEATH
dialing 999 told the police where TOO BUSY to respond

other people where a greater risk and danger to the public

they where doing 31 MILES PER HOUR in a 30 MILES PER HOUR LIMIT

AND HAD TO BE STOPPED AT ALL COSTS

so all POLICE RESOURCES WHERE UNAVAILABLE TO HELP

stopping people doing 31 in 30 limit areas was a PRIORITY

it made an EASY AND STEADY MEANS OF INCOME
another form of REVENUE for the MONEY COFFERS

answering reports to muggers rapists burglars murderers etc COSTS MONEY
you should not WASTE POLICE RESOURCES ON SUCH TRIVIA

deal with these things yourself

then you will be prosecuted for OBSTRUCTING CRIMINALS IN THE COURSE OF THERE EMPLOYMENT

You'd be fine. I watched a TV programme last week (a Police one). They explained the Law when they stopped a car for having FACTORY-FITTED front side windows that did not let enough light through. The windscreen and side windows have to allow at leat 70% of natural daylight through them to be legal, but the side rear and back windows can be completely opaque (non-see-through, like they are on some vans). Your side mirrors have to be good if you do this.
