Everyone says GCSE's are so important but they're not. GCSE's are your tickets to A Levels/College and eventually university. They are just the building blocks of your education. If you want to study Law, you really need to pass all of them, but it is not a huge issue if you fail one or two. You will also need minimum C grades in English, Maths and Science. Preferably, also try to get minimum C grades in at least 2 other subjects. This should be enough to get you into 6th form/college where you can get an A Level in Law. If you want to be a lawyer you need good grades, so you should be getting mostly A's for your A Levels, but if you get a B or two, its not a massive issue. You will then need to pick a good uni to go to, if you go to a poor uni, regardless of how well you do, your degree may not be worth much. Hope that helped
