AAAgh Mother-in-law!!! What would you do?

My MIL regularly babysits for us at our house and all goes well. It is our wedding anniversary and my husband asked her to have the kids for once at her house.

That was over a week ago and she hasnt stopped moaning to me that she hasnt got this and she hasnt got that and my husband doesnt realise how she hasnt got this and that and she has been installing tvs etc also how all of her friends go to the kids house and that suits them better etc

I came off the phone fuming as it is meant to be about OUR ANNIVERSARY not about HER! It is always the same she creates a fuss and takes the emphasis off the event onto herself WHY??

When I told my Dad he immediately insisted that he have them over at his house so I told my husband to let his mother know that they were going there instead.

He then rang me and said that she had insisted that all was organised and set up for them over at the house. My husband is now angry and so am I what do you make of all this?
