Default Has anyone ever heard anything about credit card companies writing off debt due

to new laws? There are companies on the internet that say they can get credit card debt written off legally due to changes in the consumer credit act, apparenty an individuals credit rating would not be effected. This would not be part of any debt management problem, a fully solvert indidual would be able to do this, sounds like a con to me, anyone know anyhting about it?

haven't heard it. the law can writeoff your debt using government legislation. they do it adding all your debt together not just your credit cards. then they black list you! so you get no credit for 10 years no catalogues or anything. unless your in really bad debt, I don't suggest it, it wrecks your life.

Never heard of this, but it sounds like a major con. Don't fall for it.

We should be so lucky!
If something looks too good to be true it is usually some sort of scam, or you end up paying more than you already owe.

Its a con, credit card companies and banks aren't in the habit of letting anyone away with debt. I've first hand experience of how ruthless your local caring high street bank can be, they are vicious!
