Why are certain life style choices allowed preferences under the law?

Following any 'faith' is a life style choice.

Why are some life style choices allowed to deceide what laws they will follow?

not if it breaks a law. rastifarians are NOT allowed to smoke canabis and this was decided in the ECHR.

-you got arguements and these argument see, get turned into laws. But they are still just arguments that are rectified by the people.So if I say one thing in argument and you say another
then the judge(with the people) will interpret the (commons) values to get the right answer. This is not math there are no clear answers.
-you can also class laws (arguments of higher weightiness)
and as all things there is a history that a legal system will stick too for good or bad.
